Some of my earliest and favorite memories growing up are of watching Doctor Who on PBS with my father. He was a huge Whovian and instilled that love for the show in me. We were both excited when it came back in 2005 and loved Christopher Eccleston as the Ninth incarnation of the Doctor. I’ll admit that I wasn’t sure about David Tennant at first, it took me a few episodes to really appreciate his Tenth. By the time of his fifth episode (one of my personal favorites) “The Girl in the Fireplace” came along I had bought into the new Doctor. I wish that I could say the same with this new incarnation.
I feel like a broken record when I say that the companions were great but Jodie Whittaker is the weak spot in the episode. The prior four episodes have been good stories (I seem to be in the minority with that thought) with the weak point being Whittaker. I just finished watching this episode and honestly can’t remember anything about it. Yes, it is that bad.
