What happens when you team up the writing talents of Grant Morrison (All-Star Superman, Batman) and the artistic skills of Liam Sharp (The Brave and The Bold, Wonder Woman)? One of the best Green Lantern comics to have been written. That’s what!
Do yourself a huge favor, quickly finish reading this review and then run as quickly as you can down to your local comic book shop and pick this one up! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!
I don’t want to give away any spoilers as I don’t want to give you any reason not to go read it. Just know that it follows Hal Jordan, who is already a Lantern. His Lantern was taken away for “maintenance”, which you’ll learn more about on New Oa.
This story is an interesting one from the very first page until the last, when (redacted for your excitement) is depicted as the evil mastermind that he truly is!! WOW!!! The artwork is beautiful. Liam Sharp is a talented artist. If you haven’t seen any of his stuff, this is a great time to start. And if you have not checked out any of Grant Morrison‘s comics, you need to fix that right now!
RUN AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN DOWN TO YOUR LOCAL COMIC BOOK SHOP AND PICK THIS ONE UP!
I give The Green Lantern #1 Five Couch Cushions and certify it “Grade A Buffoonery”
