Halo TV Series Officially Happening

This news has been long coming for over a decade. First, a movie that never saw the light of day, a few web series and lots of rumors and it is now official. Showtime has ordered a 10 episode pilot for a Halo TV show. Each episode will be an hour long and will focus on the Halo world introduced in the original classic game including The Covenant.

Kyle Killen (Awake) will serve as executive producer, writer and show runner. Along with Killen is Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) who will direct multiple episodes and executive produce as well.

The show begins production early 2019. David Nevins, President and CEO of Showtime, stated “Halo is our most ambitious series ever, and we expect audiences who have been anticipating it for years to be thoroughly rewarded.”

The series is bound to be highly followed thoughout it’s production. We at Couch Crunchers look forward to more developments and watching the series in the coming years. Best of luck to Showtime with this massive endeavor. Let’s see the Covenant taken down in exciting fashion.
