GameStop, the video game retailer, is going to sell comics now. The plan is to roll out the new feature in 20 GameStop and ThinkGeek stores. Comics are currently available in select locations and more will come in the future.
The focus will be on the large titles such as Marvel and DC and they won’t hold anything unique. While the major comic book fan may prefer to go elsewhere to buy their comics, this change should bring in a new audience and cause more people to buy comics.
While video games are to remain the focus, customers can expect more options and more nerdiness in the major gaming store soon. Good on GameStop to spread the love for comics to a wider audience.
