The Flash runs out of Luck!

This episode is bitchin! Welcome to another Flash review crunchers! I’m happy to report that things are getting better folks! After last week’s Iris crap fest, the show started focusing more on The Flash, and fighting bad guys, or rather bad girl in this case.

Our minion villain this week, had much better character development. She was a light-hearted villain, and was likeable even though her character was a little goofy. They actually gave her a background that tied in to the overall story arch of the season. It was refreshing to see them doing things right in this area.

The show’s focus on the Team Flash member’s lives still played a part, but didn’t overwhelm the show. Iris’s overwhelming annoyance was toned down to only a minor annoyance, which is massively beneficial for the show.

A small spoiler, which really shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone, is that the reason these Metas are popping up, that didn’t receive their powers from the particle accelerator explosion, received their powers from an event caused by Team Flash. This theme is getting slightly annoying. I kind of want the superhero of the show, to actually be a superhero at some point, rather than some guy running around trying to fix the messes cause by him and his friends.

There was some character swapping going on. It looks like one character is going to probably not be around as much, where as a character that hasn’t shown their face much in the last while is making an appearance. I personally think the change is going to make for a more cohesive Team Flash.

Overall, the show is picking up some steam. This week’s episode was enjoyable, but there is still some decent room left for growth. I recommend checking it out crunchers!
